Your family's data stays on your device
Everything you enter in the Qurrah Kids app (your children's names, progress, stars, settings and your parent PIN) is saved only in the browser on your phone or tablet. We have no account system, and none of it is sent to us. If you clear your browser data or change phones, that information is gone, because we never had a copy.
What we keep when you buy
When you pay, Stripe handles your card details; we never see them. Stripe tells us your email address, billing country, the amount and the payment reference. We keep these to send your personal link, to help you if you lose it, and to handle refunds.
We send your link by email through our email provider, Resend.
Which browsers open your link
Each paid link is for one family. To spot links that are shared widely, every time a browser opens the app with your link we record:
- a random ID for that browser, kept in a cookie on your device;
- the country and city it was opened from, worked out roughly from the network;
- the type of browser (for example Safari or Chrome);
- when it was first and last used, and how many times it was opened.
We do not store your IP address. This record is a report for us only: nothing is blocked automatically. We keep these records for as long as Qurrah Kids is sold.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. Our sales page and our thank-you page use the Meta Pixel, which sets Meta advertising cookies so we can see which ads lead to purchases. When you buy, we also tell Meta about the purchase from our server. That message contains the amount, the currency and your email address in a scrambled (hashed) form, plus the details your browser normally sends. Nothing about your family or what you do in the app is sent to Meta.
If you visit from the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask before loading the Meta Pixel. If you say no, we don't load it and we don't send your purchase to Meta.
The Meta Pixel never runs inside the app itself.
Other cookies
The app uses two cookies on its own address to remember that your browser has your link: your access code and the random browser ID above. The sales page uses one cookie to remember your answer to the Meta question.
The app loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees that a browser asked for them. No family data is sent with that request.
